Happy New Year Everyone!!!

I hope this new start finds everyone happy and healthy, or doing what you need to be there! One of my resolutions, or goals, for this year is to BLOG more! Maybe one of these days someone will have me on their list of blogs they read! I also have a sneaky feeling it could be therapeutic in a way!

Not too much oging on here today. Grey and rainy outside. Almost all of our 15 inches of snow has melted away. The boys start back to school tomorrow, woohoo! lol, I love my little guys to death, but maybe I can get my butt in gear and get some things done around here! Although I know bedtime tonight will be NO FUN!!!!

I am trying to get my house cleaned and neatened up. My mom will be home from her job on Wednesday, for SIX WEEKS!!! WooHoo! She is gonna spend that time with me and the boys. I know the boys will be excited to have thier meemaw here for a while!!!

There were a lot of changes for my family in the last three months of 2004, so it will be interesting to see how those changes play out in 2005!!! Here's the events of signifigance:

1) My husband was offered a geat job opportunity in Kansas in September. We have been wanting to move back there for sometime, and this was the start. On the down side, the job couldnt wait, and we weren't all ready to go, so on October 2nd Jason moved back to Kansas. He is currently the only security guard for Fort Hays State Univ. When the job was offered, we knew that a campus POLICE officer would be retiring sometime in the coming spring, and that he would be in line for that spot. Which is great, cause he went to the acadamy here a couple eyars ago, adn it would mean he would finally have a job that uses his training, and that he gets PAID for!!!!

2) When Jason got the jop in Kansas, I left the job I was in, and took a job in our town. I had been working at a major hospital about 35 miles away. It just made sense to me to be closer to hom and the boys as much as possible. Due to having to get used to not having Jason here, and the difficulties of not having a babysitter at all times that I needed one, I missed 3 days of work during my "orientation" period. To make a long story short. I had to voluntarily resign my spot due to the concerns with my attendance, and to avoid being FIRED! So that all happened on December 8th, and so far do not have a new job yet.

3) My brother Cameron graduated form Army basic training at the end of October, and is now an infantry man. He's the soldier in the pic I posted when I started my blog. In november he was stationed at Ft Lewis, Washington. It's an infantry post, and home to the Stryker Brigades. The last word I got was that he would be sent to either Iraq or Afghanistan by fall. His sister unit is currently in Iraq, and was one of the units that suffered fatalities as a result of the bomb that hit the Mess Hall at the base in Mosul around Christmas time.

So, as it looks, my new year will include a lot of planning, praying , and hoping! Things have got to work out one way or another! It should be an interesting year, watching and seeing how things unfold!

This is my brother Cameron. He joined the Army this spring, and was assigned to the Infantry. He left yesterday for Ft Lewis , Washington State, his first home base. My sister-in-law Becky, and my niece Kiersten, will be joining him in 30 days. he will most likely be deployed to Iraq or Africa around June. Posted by Hello

This is a winter hat I crocheted for Garrett, my youngest, just yesterday 11/15. I was pretty happy with it, as it was the first hat I EVER did!!! Posted by Hello
